Director & Producer - Paulina Barahona Noseda
Paulina Barahona Noseda is a Chilean psychologist with a Master of Sciences in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. Upon her arrival in San Francisco in 2012, Paulina began working as a bilingual psychotherapist in community clinics. She specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder with diverse populations, including Asian, Latinx and LGBTQ. In 2017 she co-founded Parentline, a telehealth community service for families with young children, based at the University of San Francisco. Since then, and until 2022, she served as visiting faculty at USF, providing specialized training in infant mental health to doctoral students.

Andrés is the director, writer, and producer of Machuca (2004), one of the most watched and highly decorated Chilean films of all time. Machuca premiered at the Cannes’ Directors Fortnight. Andrés’ other films include Football Stories (1997), jury mention New Director, San Sebastian Film Festival; Loco Fever (2001), official selection Venice Film Festival; The Good Life (2008), Goya winner for Best Spanish Language Foreign Film; and Violeta Went to Heaven, winner of the
Grand Jury Prize for dramatic world

cinema at the Sundance Film Festival (2012). His most recent film Spider premiered at the Toronto Film Festival (2019) and won the Guadalajara Film Festival (2020). Andrés produced seven seasons of Los 80, the most popular television series in Chile. He has also created television series for streaming, including Ecos del Desierto; Ramona (director, writer, and producer); Mary and Mike (executive producer); and Dignidad (executive producer). In 2022, Amazon Prime premiered Andrés’s adaptation of Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s book News of a Kidnapping, which he directed, wrote, and executive produced. In 2023, News of a Kidnapping won four Platino Awards, included Best Ibero-American Tv Series, and Best Creator in a Tv Series.
